Last week, I stood up in a room of 60 high-level entrepreneurs to ask my mentor a strategic question. I ended up crying in front of all of them. I thought it would cost me my credibility. Instead, it gave me my power back. For context: I pivoted my business big time this year. After building my multi-6 figure career coaching brand on LinkedIn, I closed out my core offer with nearly 100 people inside to follow my intuition (aka God’s direction) pulling me to evolve. I knew it was time to double down on serving women with big visions beyond corporate. Which has meant a lot of NEW this year. New direction. New audience. New offers. New platforms. This required a lot of experimentation, and a lot of launches that didn’t convert exactly the way I hoped. Disappointing even though I know exactly why it happened. When I raised my hand at this event, my mentor asked me to walk the room through every launch I’d done this year. Month by month. Out loud. I started recounting the ups and downs. My cheeks burned. Tears started spilling over before I could stop them. I felt it rise in my body like a heat wave: SHAME. “I didn’t mean to cry,” I said from my spot in the back of the room, as the voices in my head got louder. I should have figured this out by now. What happened to the version of me who was crushing it? Am I going backwards? Was I way too delusional about changing everything in my business? I felt overexposed. Like maybe I didn’t belong in a room with women doing $100K cash months and building global movements with messaging that always hits perfectly. Good thing I’ve learned this by now: Emotions are data, not facts. I know better than to believe every thought in my head. They’re just a story, and stories can be edited. So I sat with the shame. I let myself feel it. And I stayed open. Because a smarter, wiser part of me knew: I do belong in rooms like this. I was meant for this path. Afterward, one woman pulled me aside. “Thank you, I really resonated with what you shared.” I asked which part. She said, “Everything.” I felt lighter. Then the next morning, the room cracked open. Woman after woman started telling the stories they’d always kept hidden. I did not for a single second see their shame. I only saw their power. We love when other people are vulnerable and we still resist it for ourselves. Funny how that works. Here’s why this matters for you: It’s not what happens or doesn’t that slows us down in building the lives of our dreams. It’s the shame of believing we should be somewhere we’re not. That gap between where you are and where you think you should be is where most visionary women quietly stall out. Because they’re spending their energy worrying about the fact that it’s taking longer than they planned vs. channeling it into owning the wins they do have and getting louder about them. There is so much power in owning exactly where you are, publicly, and building from there. God’s calling for you won’t usually feel like a straight shot to success. But when you allow yourself to be seen in the messy middle, you take your power back. You change the narrative. You write a new story. You keep going. And then you succeed. What shame are you still hanging onto? That’s the story you need to tell. Free yourself, take your power back, and use it to build the Limitless life & the legacy business that fuels it. You got this. With love, P.S. If you're craving a room where you can show up 100% fully as yourself, I invite you to join me at Becoming Limitless: The Portugal Retreat happening this October. GAHHHH I'm frolicking around Barcelona right now, about to meet my long time mentor for the first time in person. Kind of freaking out!!! I started following her on Instagram in Feb 2023 when I had just decided to start my business, working full-time in tech.I watched the way she made moves to create a $34M company, with a baby on her hip while having the time of her life building a rockstar community. I was enthralled. She showed me how to think about investing in myself & making power moves,...
6 months ago, you made a laundry list of things you wanted to do this year... or maybe there was just ONE BIG GOAL that felt so dang big, you haven't quite figured out how to tackle it enough to feel any progress. Either way... life looks a lil far off from the vision board. But that gets to change. Before next year. 6 months is actually a lot of time to get wildly different results... but ironically, only if you start acting like it's not. If I wanted to end the year on Dec 31st thinking...
"I highly recommend you read this." WHAT?! That book was in my backpack right now. This podcast was telling me to pick it up asap... Talk about divine timing. An 8-figure founder told me to read it last year. I picked it back up today because this tiny 36-page book is chock full of wisdom, and it has the potential to create life-altering results if applied correctly. Let me show you what I mean. It's called "you²: A High-Velocity Formula For Multiplying Your Personal Effectiveness in Quantum...
