Reader!! It's Katy here popping in with an update about the Masterclass & celebration event I'm throwing this Sunday March 8th. In case you missed it: it's called UNLEASH YOUR FEMININE POWER. Let me tell you a story to explain how this event came to be and show you why it's so important... I've been the classic Type A overachiever since I was 8. I used to do everything in my power to "get it right", avoid mistakes, stay safe, and earn other people's approval. And most women I've worked with through big career & business transitions started out the same way. My inner Good Girl was running the show for most of my life... When I was in high school, I wanted to take Pottery class. It sounded really fun and exciting... but the teacher gave out a lot of B's. I couldn't bare to ruin my GPA with an art class so I never stepped up to the wheel. When I was in college, I wanted to take more entrepreneurship & psych classes (things I am obsessed with now). But I stuck with Chemical Engineering because saying it was my major gave me a ton of validation that I was smarter than other people (if I'm honest, it still does). When I started in consulting, I made a 10 year timeline to Partner and I'd get my MBA early. Why? Because that's what everyone else was doing. Not really sure, but it seemed to be the stable, smart path... I could never get myself to write the essays. I paused. Is this all there is?! Couldn't be!! This was the first time I decided to let my intuition speak, "What would I do if I was unafraid to fail?" Once I pivoted to startups, I fell into the same trap yet again: "Let's get promoted as fast as possible". I took the most obvious path forward to lead Customer Success. I realized very quickly: Endless 1:1s aren't for me. I made space for my intuition to get even louder. She said, "What would be truly possible if you went All In?" I listened. I decided. I got devoted. I made a massive leap. And still... When I built my career coaching business, I looked for the "right" strategy so that it would "work." I put my business art into a box that was what people wanted from me, a few degrees off from what I wanted to create. It made money; that was wonderful and I learned so much serving 200+ clients. But it also put a cap on my impact & income building something I knew I'd eventually want to shift. I outsourced my power: to universities, companies, promotion pathways, and business coaches. I learned the same lesson time and time again: With intentional focus & a lot of self development, I learned how to free myself - from "the rules", societal expectations, external limits, and most importantly - my own beliefs that were blocking me from seeing another happier, more free, authentic way of life. I shed The Good Girl programming that kept me caged, bored, and unsatisfied and recoded my identity to feel free, fully expressed, fulfilled... Limitless. And now, I'm showing you how to do the same.
