I almost lit $3,410 on fire

One year ago, I put down $3,410 on an Airbnb to host my first retreat.

I had no idea whether anyone would show up or whether I was simply lighting money on fire.

It turned out to be one of the best bets I could have made.

Maybe you have a leap like that calling you too... but it feels like a huge risk to commit.

Maybe you also want to bring your community together in person. You love a good Zoom call, but you know it isn’t the same as sharing physical space. Being seen. Being witnessed. Having the conversations that change something in you because you are finally in the room.

You wonder whether enough people would come. Whether you could create the experience you envision. Whether you are really ready to be one of the women leading the room this time.

Maybe your leap is a different edge – launching a new offer, pitching yourself to speak on stages, finally writing the book you’ve always talked about. So you hedge, you hesitate, you put it off until it feels a bit safer, like you've fully "earned it."

Here’s the catch:

You will never feel fully ready for your next-level leap.

You just have to be brave. And move before you have any proof it's going to work.

That’s a lesson I’ve learned again and again.

The most expansive rooms I’ve built (and stepped into) were not created because I felt perfectly prepared. They were created because I made all-in moves as the leader I wanted to be.

My first retreat didn’t “make sense” based on where I was at the time. But it made perfect sense based on where I wanted to go.

I've attended transformational retreats since high school. They were the most transformational experiences of my life — spaces that showed me what becomes possible when you step outside your normal environment, let yourself be fully seen, and get in proximity to people who are living more consciously, thinking bigger, and dreaming by doing.

After a powerful experience in Costa Rica in February 2025, I knew it was finally time to create a retreat of my own.

I was terrified. But my intuition said, "Go for it."

There was no proof people would come, and no guarantee I would fill the space. And for 6 weeks, I didn't even talk about it online.

But I was all-in on creating the kind of room where people could finally see themselves differently. There was no backing out, I had crossed the point of no return. I raised the stakes.

When the weekend finally came, I'm glad I did. Something happened that I could never have created through another Zoom call.

Clients I had known for months began claiming bigger visions.

Conversations became decisions. Ideas became commitments.

People let themselves be fully witnessed, and changed in the deepest ways because of it.

At the end of the retreat, one of my clients said:

“Katy, my wish for you is that you go 10x bigger with this work.”

The retreat was for my community, but it gave me exactly what I needed too.

At the time, I had been questioning everything in my business. Being in that room gave me clarity and courage I could not access alone behind my laptop.

6 weeks later, I made the decision to stop scaling my career coaching business and fully devote myself to helping female entrepreneurs take brave, all-in leaps to create soul-aligned businesses & lives to match.

6 months later, I checked in with our retreat fam and learned that every single one of them had made a meaningful move toward the vision they claimed in the room.

That's why I'm hosting round 2 this year.

This October, I’m bringing 10 visionary women to Portugal — my new home — for 5 days and 4 nights of expansive thinking, adventures by the coast, honest conversations, and brave decisions.

Portugal is not just a gorgeous country to visit.

It is an invitation to step outside the routines, roles, and environments that have kept you operating at a fraction of your potential. To get far enough away from the noise that you can hear what you actually want. To be surrounded by women who see your bigness and will not let you shrink from it.

This is for the woman who is done outsourcing her power, delaying her next move, or settling for less than the soul-on-fire life and business she knows, deep down, she is meant for.

You’ll leave with a more expansive vision for the next 12 months — and the self-trust, clarity, and community to actually create it.

If you know there is a bigger leap calling to you, and you are ready to be in a room with women who will hold you to it, join us in Portugal this fall.

There are 5 spots left. Reply to this email with RETREAT and I’ll send you the full invitation!

When you claim your spot by August 18, you’ll receive a special bonus worth $1,000 that will not only support your 10x transformation, but help you achieve it at lightning speed.

See you in Portugal! 🇵🇹

Xx

Last week, I stood up in a room of 60 high-level entrepreneurs to ask my mentor a strategic question. I ended up crying in front of all of them. I thought it would cost me my credibility. Instead, it gave me my power back. For context: I pivoted my business big time this year. After building my multi-6 figure career coaching brand on LinkedIn, I closed out my core offer with nearly 100 people inside to follow my intuition (aka God’s direction) pulling me to evolve. I knew it was time to...

GAHHHH I'm frolicking around Barcelona right now, about to meet my long time mentor for the first time in person. Kind of freaking out!!! I started following her on Instagram in Feb 2023 when I had just decided to start my business, working full-time in tech.I watched the way she made moves to create a $34M company, with a baby on her hip while having the time of her life building a rockstar community. I was enthralled. She showed me how to think about investing in myself & making power moves,...

6 months ago, you made a laundry list of things you wanted to do this year... or maybe there was just ONE BIG GOAL that felt so dang big, you haven't quite figured out how to tackle it enough to feel any progress. Either way... life looks a lil far off from the vision board. But that gets to change. Before next year. 6 months is actually a lot of time to get wildly different results... but ironically, only if you start acting like it's not. If I wanted to end the year on Dec 31st thinking...
